OK, after a longer than expected hiatus because I'm a procrastinator we're shining the spotlight on another member this week. Let's welcome IceAge to the interview couch...

What's the story behind your gamertag?

When I finally decided to join XBox Live, I thought I was one of the few old timers out there gaming (this was before I found Geezer Gamers mind you), so I wanted to come up with something reflecting that. I live in New England and enjoy the winter months and ice fishing. I always got a kick out of watching the Ice Age movies with my daughter, so ..... "OLD" + "COLD" = "Ice Age". Originally I had my age (48) after the "Ice Age", but you can't stay that young forever, so I dropped the 48 and added a "o" before and after the gamer tag.

What do you do when you're not playing games?

I'm working on my house, around my yard or watching sports on the tube

What's the worst or weirdest job you've ever had?

Probably the worst job I ever had was a summer job during my first year of college. I was hired by Texas Instruments and my job was to inspect ceramic "wafers" that were being developed for vehicle carburetors to vaporize the gas more efficiently before if was burned. These wafers had a coating of silver on them to conduct an electrical current to heat the ceramic and if there was a short in the coating the thing didn't work. My job was to check for shorts (using a microscope no less to do this) and re-flow the silver whenever I found a short. My eyes were taking a toll on all the hours spent looking at these things and decided I would go blind if I kept doing it. After about a month of this I got an offer to scuba dive for quahogs (hard shell clams) for the rest of the summer and gladly took it.

How long have you been on Xbox LIVE?

Around May 2008

What is your favorite single player Xbox game?

Fallout 3

What do you consider your most memorable gaming experience?

I guess if I had to remember one it would be playing Hardcore Team Deathmatch (COD4) on Wetworks. I ended up going something like 32-2 and was calling in my third CHOPPAH! when the gamed ended.

What was your first gaming platform?

The original Nintendo (1990?)

How close is your avatar on Xbox to what you really look like?

Pretty close, the mustache is a close as I could get it, and my upper body is broader then my skinny avatar shows. Ha Ha.

Beer, liquor, wine, or something else?

I enjoy quality over quantity, I drink microbrew beers (the hoppier the better) most of the time, occasionally I indulge in Jack Daniels (straight up) and I do enjoy all kinds of wine.

What's your favorite TV show?

I was never one to watch sitcoms. Lately if I'm not watching sports, I'm watching "Man vs. Food" on the Travel Channel, I get a laugh out the host and the food (meat), is right down my alley.

What is the last book you read or book you're reading now?

Right now I'm reading the last book in the "Word and Void" series by Terry Brooks. I started reading his books in the early eighties, stopped, came back we he wrote more, stopped, came back, etc.

Are you a beach, country or city person?

Country person for sure. Don't like cities and beaches all look the same after awhile.
