Yeah the only reason I got it was Target had it for 39.99.

Hey I'm part of this clan (I think - it's so laid back I kinda forget)
As Wes will attest I'm a COD diehardand Black Ops is one of my favs to date. Campaign wasn't the best - but the multiplayer is fantastic. Of course many lament the "Lag compensation" and it can get bad, but if you avoid Ground War it isn't bad.
I absolutely LOVE the wager matches - so anybody want to run them sometimes, lemme know. They are a blast with friends.

Geez finally got through the vietnam section of the single player. Bet it took 7 or more hours just to go down the hill and 3 mins to go up the other side.
Never was a fan of the COD multiplayer part of the game. Played the Zombie part which is interesting. Played the combat training and didn't know the enemy bots were names from my friends list. Freaked out when clan FoF gamer tags were killing me. Kind of fun.
I was ROBBED I tell ya ROBBED!!! Finished the game on what I thought was veteran and I didn't get the achievements. I think I may have screwed myself when I lowered the difficulty to figure out what I needed to do. restarted the level set to veteran. At least I thought it was.
Currently replaying on veteran from SOG.
Don't do it!!! It's not worth it!! Was about to finish rebirth island when an error occured and set me back to the very beginning. Its way too painful!!
I just got the game, but I haven't had a chance to play it. What's the co-op like? Should I play the single-player first?
Co-op is zombie fight only. I enjoy the single player even though veteran mode is killing me. This COD's single player seems to be more violent and a lot more cursing. Most COD players get the game for the multiplayer aspect, I never liked COD's multiplayer. I however have had a decent time playing the multiplayer with uncommited.
