Check out the new trailer before it's gone:

I have to say I was super-excited to see this. After watching the trailer, I'm not so sure, since Ryan Reynolds' acting is similar to all of his other roles. Maybe it works in the storyline...

There will be at least 3 great movies this summer - Green Lantern, Thor, and Captain America. Trouble is, I'll probably get stuck only seeing Cars 2 with my oldest But I do love the look of this movie and just hope the storyline doesn't leave me disappointed like the last Superman movie did. DC/Warner just can't ever seem to do their heroes justice, unlike Marvel. Though they did finally get Batman right with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

I liked the Green Lantern trailer, I'm just worried if Ryan Reynolds can pull it off.
I like Reynolds, like his acting ability, but as Klyde mentioned, you see one of his movies, you've seen them all.

Reynolds would be/ IS perfect for the Deadpool movie, because if you look at his turn as Hannibal King in Blade Trinity, he essentially channeled Deadpool there.
Putting on the red tights would just seal the deal.
Whatever that debacle was at the end of Wolverine by removing his mouth was just a travesty.

I am sincerely hoping Reynolds can do this, and lock down a serious tone when it will be necessary, and it will be necessary for this this role.
The Power Ring of the Guardians is the most powerful weapon in the universe, and is only hindered by the users reluctance.
That is why, and I may be smited from comic book fandom for this, but I liked Kyle Rayner's (is that right) run as Green Lantern, because as an artist, he really let his mind run wild with the potential for the Power Ring.

    We'll see.

I am now tentatively holding out for more word on the Thor movie.
I am really, REALLY concerned by the latest pics of the Captain America movie. While that looks great with the WWII era, I am becoming more and more reluctant to believe Chris Evans can pull this off.
We need a serious actor, not a face and a body, to honor Captain America.

Sunshine was surprisingly good. I caught it on TV and regretted not having seen it in the theater. I also had no idea that was the same guy. I also thought he was good in Push. He's proving to be pretty diverse.

I totally agree about Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds was dead on. Then the director took over with "creative liberties" and totally effed it up.

Lets see if DC can make this as good as Batman. Im not a huge fan of the Green Lantern but I might go see this if I can find a babysitter for my (soon to be born) daughter who will be 6 mos next summer.

Her name is Noelle and she was born on 12/30/10 at 2:10pm. She weighed 8p 13.5oz and was 20in long.

I saw this last night and I'm super glad I only had to pay $3 to see it.

It was a very strange mix to Seth Rogan overkill and great action and special effects. I wouldn't recommend anybody paying much money for it.
