Pc gamers am I in the wrong place?

Hi, first... I hope its ok to start a new thread here, I thought this place appropriate, after searching the forums, for a while, I fear Im in t6her wrong place, Im hoping there are more pc gamers here than first there seems. Are there PC gamers ? If so who are they ? how can I contact them ? am I in thye wrong forum ? will the Patriots win the super bowl? ....

That's a great question, Lucky (the PC gamer one, I mean). I think there are a few, but I suspect they are all in their basements and garages trying to get their PCs to actually play games on one hand, and trolling internet forums other than this one about graphics cards (whatever they are) on the other. Sorry I couldn't be more help

Thank you for the reply, and hopefully more folks reply. This seems to be a rather large group so hopefully im not alone. btw my card sucks and i dont have teh latest and greatest anything, i run betwwen 13-52 fps so... if your looking for another sub par gamer, here I am

Hey, Lucky, if you look in the Games forum, you'll see discussion of all sorts of games. You'll notice that many of the threads have prefixes on them, such as [PC] or [PS3] indicating what platform the game is for. That should help you isolate discussion of PC games and who plays them. We are, primarily, an Xbox 360-based community, but many people enjoy other systems as well.

I just bought a 512MB DIMM RAM upgrade for my 1.6 GHz Pentium chip (all by it's lonesome). I keep trolling for an updated AGP Video card to replace(cheaply) the NVIDIA GeForce 2 board I have now. What I have is pretty near boat anchor material but it works and no matter how hard they try, the boys can't give me a virus (probably take up too much RAM now-a-days to even get on my machine).

I gave up trying to keep up with the PC games when I was chunking $200+ every year in a new video card and PS in order to play the latest releases. I still dable in Alpha Centauri when I can but the mchine drags to play that game.

I know there's a few on the site that keep chasing the PC dream and there was a flurry of activity when StarQuest updated their website. I'm not sure how many made the transition to our new site.

glaed to see others out there, I was begining to feel so al alone out here, the reason I stay pc is because i can download games in english, and its far eaiser for me, my hands are rather broken and cannot feel a handle so good, ive a thing called a belkin n52e that i use, its like the left half of a keyboard that is carpeltunell friendly and a really big mousr with verry high dpi upwards of 2k, once i had to glue velcro to it and a glove so as to not throw it accros the room while i played

well, I had severe carpell tunel in both hands, and the syrgery didnt work so now im left with really no feeling in either hand, i can only feel hot or cold, pressure is almost nonexistant, almost feels like im wearing oversized gloves filled with tacks wrapped tight... hence the computer keys, there more forgiving than an xbox or ps3 controler

Wow that sucks. I've done a lot of typing and sitting at terminals since I was a teen, but knock on wood it hasn't bothered me too much.

On the pc front, I actually just bought a monster of a pc and now I'm looking for something to do with it, game-wise. I just got Starcraft 2 re-installed today and working (the first time it installed it, it didn't have any maps...). I have a few steam games like Bioshock, Grid Defense, Plants vs Zombies, Dawn of War 2, and a total war game that I've only played once. I have AoE 3 and I think I'm still elibible for the beta but haven't installed it. I looked for games during the Steam sale over the holidays but nothing really struck my fancy. I just can't imagine playing something like counter strike or team fortress on the pc since it's not natural to me. I was thinking more like an RPG or maybe a single player shooter-type game or something. Any recommendations?
