X-Box Live Family Pack question

Alright, stupid question coming.

I see this special on the family pack, where you get four X-Box live 12 month memberships for $99.00.

Can you buy that, use it only one ONE account, and therefore give yourself a brand spanking new 52 month membership??

Nope. You pay $99 for the family membership and can have up to four gold accounts active under that membership... but it still only is good for one year without renewal.

I will probably use this since I currently have two gold memberships. And you can add current gold memberships to the family pack (that way your kid/spouse can keep their Live name).

Aw, man, thats too bad.
I only have one Gold account and for that matter, one XBox.

But when I saw this deal, the wheels started turining, thinking I could buy it, and just piggy back all those Gold accounts on my single account and get 4-1/4 years worth of Gold XBox Live, for barely the price of TWO Gold renewals.

Too bad.

Consider how many of those they could sell,, if they allowed that.

We're probably going to migrate to this ... it's less than buying two memberships now. I'm going to see if my brother and a friend of ours wants to go in on it with us... from what I understand as long as you start the account on the same console, you can migrate it to another xbox without losing the gold status ...

I switched over to the family pack. Pretty easy and I was credited some extra time since my son's account had a little time left.

Yes, my daughter has her own 360. She brought down her profile on a flash drive and moved it to my 360. I added her to the family account, she moved the profile back to the flash, then back to her 360. Very simple.
