    Top gaming communities

    Hey guys,

I'm trying to track down a good list of other gaming communities, ones you may also frequent. I've got a special project I'm helping with and I want to cook up a good list of other communities.

This would encompass PC games, console, game specific, casual, etc.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    NeoGAF.

I have been tempted to ask there or here if there are any other Geezers, thereby forming GeezerGAF.

[edit] this must be some sort of marketing initiative, correct? Anyway, another couple of communities that occurred to me: Midworld (the Good Game Network forums) and of course Andriasang, which is less of a community and more of a place where stuff gets leaked.

Yea, there's a couple of reasons for doing it. Thanks for the suggestions. Looking around last night I became aware at just how big and cool we are. With a couple of exceptions we're pretty big, active and interesting.

If anyone else has any communities to throw in, post away.

Joystiq, IGN, Kotaku . . . are more media outlets to me (and owned by someone large).

The interesting one was Amazon's Video Game "community" which has a lot of chatter but no discernable leadership or sense of belonging.

I used to frequent www.mygamercard.net, but haven't snooped around the forums recently. Back in the day it was an active, well-moderated forum with a fairly good-sized user base. Like I said, I haven't visited for quite awhile, so I'm not sure what it is like now.

OK, now for something that Jamey actually asked for...

Adult Gaming Enthusiasts is community similar to GG but smaller. They were actually the first "adult" gaming community I found when I first got on XBL. Then I found GG and haven't been back very much..... While smaller it is a good community with active members who have a lot of scheduled games nights, etc, etc and I think they are worth a mention.
