Remember guys, games thread are going to be move to the open forum. The clans forums now are just to talk basic/private stuff and organize games nights, etc.... but thread related with games must be posted in the Open Geezer gamers forum.
New rules.

If talking to clan mates about which games we are going to get wouldn't that be considered basic stuff or private to us? What is the point of having a "clan" if we can't discuss games amongst each other?

So, this is not a forum for your clan to talk amongst themselves on whatever topic they wish.

I consider my clan mates to be really great friends and not having a place to come and share something with them saddens me greatly.

You still can share things with your clan mates here. Not sure where you got the idea from that you wouldn't be allowed to do that. I mean, why would we then still have clan forums? Sorry, if we haven't been clear enough!!

Some history: on the old site, general threads for game reviews and so on existed in multiple clan forums. (e.g. one "what feature of Halo Reach do you like most?" thread in multiple different locations/clan forums). We want to keep these types of general gaming discussion in the general discussion area. For one, it will reduce the number of duplicate threads. Second, and most importantly, it will allow the community to get to know each other a bit better. (The idea being that we are "geezer gamers" first, and members of clan XYZ second.)

If you want to post about your gaming experience with your clan members (e.g. "great games in Halo Reach last night" or "Guys, I really like the new Shadowrun 2! Who else will buy the game?") then you're still more than welcome to do that in your clan forum. However, if it's more general and not specific to your clan, then we'd ask that you move that discussion to the general forums area so other geezers can enjoy your posts and contribute to them as well.

I hope this clarifies this a bit more. Let us know if you have additional questions or concerns.

Thanks Hyper for the clarification. I got the idea from Jc's post about clan forum rules. From what was posted I believed we were limited on what we could share. I think I can speak for most of us the shock of the new site is setting in (which is awesome by the way). Thanks again

No problem! Yes, change is difficult... and I can tell you that we all were (and still are) a bit nervous about how the community will react... but so far, everything seems to be going smooth enough that we're happy...

One of the cool things about Spawn HD-720 (if I'm understanding it correctly) is that you can record HD video of your gaming. At $130, this is the cheapest HD capture solution I've seen.
