I'm not a fan, but I want them to win. I want those "I don't care about the Western conference" people (Sven) to suck it.

Correction: I'm one of those "I don't care about the Eastern Conference" people. Diehard Wings fan and I'm pulling for the Kings.

My earlier posts alluded to the Eastern Conference carrying a majority of the excitement during these playoffs (Pitts vs. Philly, Wash vs. NY, etc.) The Western side just didn't have the same level of excitement (IMO). I will say I generally don't go for southern teams, but L.A. has made it work for a long time and I can't recall hearing that they're in any financial troubles like Phoenix, or Florida.

History will...NOT...be made! At least in regards to the Kings only losing 2 games the whole playoffs which would have tied them for the record of least amount of loses in the playoffs.

Oh well, they will probably still win unless Quick's luck has run out. Then they're screwed.

I don't know anything about the deal. I stopped paying attention to the ownership situation a year ago after it was made plain that what is actually happening behind closed doors never gets accurately reported. I grew tired of reading contradictory things, and learning that half of what I read was inaccurate. My new attitude is: What will be will be.

Of course the lack of facts hasn't stopped people here from having strong opinions one way or the other.

The Kings are the new Stanley Cup Champs! Kind of a lopsided game. I can't believe Bernier was stupid enough to take that boarding penalty that basically cost them the game. Being down 0-3 because of a reckless penalty is tough to battle back from.
