    NHL - My Pro???

Maybe I'm missing something, but I am getting frustrated with the My Pro mode in NHL. This is especially true after playing NBA 2K12. How the heck are you supposed to get better if you are on the third line barely getting any minutes, especially when the XP you get is minimal? Are there training modes I am not finding to help you gain XP? Should I just keep plugging along? I am not looking to be a 50 goal scorer in year 1, but I am looking to at least improve a bit.

Maybe I'm just an impatient old man.

    Not the best solution....but....

I believe you could disable Line Changes and then manage the line-up so that your Line starts. This will keep you on the ice 100% until you level-up enough to make the 1st Line, then just change the starting line.

No ideas other than that, but I have not done any offline Be a Pro with '12 yet...online only.

    Good Luck !

I play about 20 minutes a game and lead the WHL in scoring after 8 games.

Give it time, you'll get up there.

Hmm, maybe that's my problem not going through the minors. I went right to the NHL after the Memorial Cup. Maybe I should have taken the other path?

I've played BAP the past four years and I don't think I made the 1st line until the end of my rookie year or second season. The thing that I shake my head at is if I go scoreless in a game I'll drop in level.

"The GM would like to have a word with you" is on par with "meet me at the office in HR".

Good news is, you can sim the shifts to your next line. It works well ;-)

It's not just you. I actually played a full season in the CHL and dominated to an unrealistic degree. (2-way defenseman that lead the league in scoring). He was drafted #1 overall, and now it's a struggle even though I got him from an overall rating of 69 to 74 in 1 year. I'm getting all A's in each category, but instead of getting 50-something points in each category, I'm down getting 20-something points per category. I'm hoping that unlocking the Amateur/Pro/Veteran/etc cards gives you points.
