Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
I have been watching this game for awhile. R.A Salvatore <Author of the Drizzt novels> is behind the story and world creation on it, while Todd McFarlane <creator of Spawn> Is working on it too.
Should be an epic roleplaying fantasy game. Comes out in February which is even better because I might have recovered from buying all the other games from November and December by then!
Here is a link to the site, it has some videos and more details.
wow....That game looks great...I am going to have to add this to my list!
Already pre-ordered. If this game is as awesome as it looks, it may have a shot to drag me back into the MMO world with the later release.
First review of the game from IGN. So far so good.
I am major into collectors editions, and if I had the money I would so order this $275 version. But This close to Christmas I am broke.
But here are three limited editions, and the $275 version is limited to 300 copies.
The unsigned versions are limited to 700 copies for $200
and then the basic collectors edition for $80 limited to 2000 copies.
They all come with 7 DnD type dice set, Fate cards, Parchment map, and a weapon that boost XP from DLC.
The two bigger packages also have a Troll figure made by McFarlane, and a signed Lithograph, and soundtrack.
The biggest packages also includes signatures on the Troll, 1 of 300 numbered limited edition Todd McFarlane sketch screen prints.
Great packaging, and I think it would be worth picking up if you are a Salvatore, or McFarlane fan. I also forgot Curt Shilling is a part of this company too which is kinda cool.
The demo is out for this game on Xbox, PS3, and I think Steam or Origin has it for the PC. Quite a few bugs I found in the demo which is typical, but not this bad, and not this close to it's release date. Even had a lock up on the Xbox.
Graphics remind me of Dragon Age, Fable mixed, not bad, but not outstanding. The game play is basic, and okay, kind of like a casual RPG experience, not the Hardcore Skyrim sort of experience I would have expected from the stars behind this game.
It should still be worth buying, just not going to be as in depth as I had hoped, my fault for amping up my own expectations I guess.
Don't you unlock some gun for ME3 if you play the demo?

I read somewhere that the demo is based on an older build so hopefully some of the problems are fixed in the final build.
I hadn't even heard of this game until someone I work with mentioned it and the demo. I'm actually considering picking this up. I've enjoyed Skyrim but I'm finding it to be very "samey" now and since finishing the main quest line I'm losing motivation to play it. The crafting system in this game already looks more interesting than Skyrim's rather bland system.
Anyone who likes action RPGs should definitely check this one out.

The great thing about this game is the combat. Heads and shoulders above Skyrim. The story and everything else is just ok for me but the combat makes up for it.
