I made some custom challenges and sent out invites to them. Just to give you an idea on credits:

I made one challenge to achieve 5 headshots: 313cr payout

I made another where you have to get 5 multiplayer wins: 2024cr payout


So, it looks like the credit payouts will actually be worth it and we should be getting quiet a bit of credits from regular challenges and our custom challenges.

Time to get busy tonight!

Hey Mooch, how were the credits determined? Is it autogenerated when you build the challenge or do you specify as part of the custom? What are the limits, etc? I'll look for myself tonight, but curious on what you learned.

The credits are autogenerated I'm guessing by some formula for how hard your challenge is. I made the challenges through Halo Waypoint via internet. I don't know if you can do it over the 360 or not. It was just drop down fields so you pick whether the challenge takes place in Firefight, Campaign, Multiplayer, Custom, etc. Then you select what the goal is, etc, etc. I didn't explore it very much but will when I get home tonight.

Yes, I think I sent each member of Spartanhawks and some others an invite to my challenges. I don't know how you receive them or anything though.

Glad to see that you can't make easy challenges for big payouts. Wonder if this will affect the jackpot system at all. Just wouldn't seem right if custom challenges made everyone an inheritor within a week of CE-A's release......

ROCKET YO FACE challenge is now live! 13 rocket launcher kills in the next 60 hours. Worth a whopping 29cr!
Totally noobed it! I guess you need to constrain challenges a little tighter to see bigger credits. You'd get more credits for firing up a custom, taking a shot at the sky, and quitting the game than in this challenge. I thought this was only for matchmaking, but I think it came through as any gametype, so 5 seconds into a rocketattack game and you'd be done. Don't feel obligated to accept the challenge (it was more for the humor of it than anything, anyway.....just looking for a way to legitimize Mooch's request for a spartanhawk R.Y.F. service ribbon.....)

Unfortunately, you can't edit challenges once they are out there.....
Looks like you can have up to 5 custom challenges live at any time. No surprise here, but the stats on custom challenges created, achieved, not completed, and forfeit all seem to get tracked on the new waypoint v2.0.
