As for GRO...played about 6 matches this afternoon, and honestly I would be all for it if not for the store. With my entry level character a sniper rifle would take 3 to 4 shots to kill someone, even if you are hitting them in the head? Hard to tell because the sights such on it.
As the class with the LMG I was getting an average of three kills per match, but snipers were taking me out with one shot in the body from out of range for my gun. Yes, this is where the store ruins it. These guys are buying the high end sniper rifles and they can one shot me from across the map.
So for three matches in a row I was finding that 5 of the 6 members of the other team were snipers, and all using the paid for rifles. You could not get near them, but sadly the game was to capture multiple points on the map, and they lost because they could not move anywhere without my LMG cutting them down.

So while they are deadly, they are easy to lock down. If they were smart enough to get a couple team members to buy the high end LMGs or something they probably would have stomped us. Anyways, much like 90% of the games I have downloaded in the last three months, here is another one to hit the delete button on.

COD is popular and I could not believe that the first "drops" were just 1 map or something like that.... that is complete BS. I bought MW3 elite, never again.
I got tied into COD because of it's popularity, everyone I knew was playing it, friends, family, coworkers.... I got into it at Modern Warfare and was impressed, I even kicked butt for a long time, even against the glitchers I was having fun. Then World at War, still had fun, mainly because I didn't play the previous WW2 models. Then it all went down hill from there.

Battlefield I first got into with BF2142 or whatever it was on the PC and I had a blast, but my computer was soon outdated and could not play the next BF game. I never really got into them on console, and probably should have, I love the map sizes, the vehicles, etc.. Just hate some of the snipers that can seem to head shot you on a quad type vehicle going full throttle from across the map.

Over the last couple of nights I've been playing some Mann vs. Machine. We definitely need to get a Geezer room for this. While I initially liked Hamburger Hill back in the old Ghost Recon days I eventually developed a strong dislike of the Hoard/Firefight game types. Hoard mode I hated mainly since I couldn't stand Gears of War, but even with Halo reach you couldn't offer me a million credits to do a FF challenge anymore. It was just too repetitive and boring. I bring up those examples sort of extremely so I can balance out my argument why I enjoy MvM so much.

The thing about MvM that's a little different is it's part Firefight + Objective + Puzzle. Each round you need to figure out the right class balance and engineers need. Then decide where the optimal placements of turrets and dispensers belong. The types of enemies differ from wave to wave enough you never feel like you're fighting the same guys over and over again. They even change up the path that the enemies take with each retry to increase the challenge.

    Oh, and....

Definitely a fun game mode. Heavys and Engineers are the best classes to use.
