So what do you guys think about GM Connected?

It should be interesting imo.
"NHL 13 will have a randomize team rosters option. This will randomize the team rosters so that teams will start out relatively even. That way you can avoid arguments over who gets what team, and nobody has an automatic advantage because of the strength of the team they pick."
That part interests me the most. It's the next best thing to a full on fantasy draft. Before the game companies decided they wanted to make it more difficult for us to play in the same room on the same console, I used to love sitting around with friends and doing a full fantasy draft in Madden on the original Xbox or PS2. Half the time we'd just draft and sim through the games to see who could build the best team. Of course those were days when free time was in larger supply.

I'm too lazy to find the official source referenced, but here's a blurb someone found about the new ratings caps for EASHL in NHL 13:

EA talks about defense in NHL 13 at last. I'm guardedly hopeful - the puck seems to be glued to the stick as it seemed to be in NHL12 (for example, when the player pushes the puck forward at about the 0:30 mark), however may be effectively countered by a well-timed poke check. Still, it's nice to see that they are trying to reward good defensive positioning this year.

So I spent some time in the demo last night trying the different modes. Considering I don't play HUT or Versus it was kinda difficult to compare to what I do know. I messed around in the free skate more than anything, but having to use a left handed skater just seemed awkward for me.
I know they talked about goalie improvements, but I saw soem really weird goals go in (but maybe they were screened?).
In the free skate I just started abusing quick with wrap arounds using the puck protect and then going far side. Granted this will be handled with defense.
I do like the true broadcast cam, it's neat. I like the new physics engine and not being able to turn on a dime.
I think this is an improvement and will cater to those with positioning and who can spot where the momentum is going. Give and go quick passes will really be important.
I think it would be a lot of fun to do a geezer connected careers and go for the stanly cup.
