So the crucible just opened up for me. It was after i did the main quest line in the Forge Lands. I have quite a few active quests right now, it seems like some of them will be active for quite a while until you advance further in the game.

I just finished move a mountain. Went back, got the achievement for it. I fought Thane and beat his ass down. He gave me a list of creatures to kill. So if I go through with the main quest how much longer until I unlock the Crucible?

After i beat the mountain a little pop up said i had mail from "anonymous". Go and check your serpent tomb for a letter with a card or something in it. This mail is what opened the crucible.

Hmmm I have been there and didn't have any letter. I will have to go check again.

Another thing. Does everyone else have like 15 available quests? I just fought Thane in training and after doing so he gave me a list of creatures to go kill. That alone is another 5 quests on top of what I already have!

you should have also just got the spirit form, thane was a bitch, and yes 2 in the forge lands and 2-3 in the other lands not unlocked for me yet. you'll need deaths grip for the one fight and you coulda taken on Gorewood already.

And check your Serpent tomb, its prolly there, I got the same message as Tweedledee did at the same point.

Just to be clear the Serpent Tomb is that green statue, right?

Ok, two more things. I didn't beat The Guardian yet so that explains my ignorance there. Second, where the hell is The Serpent Tomb!

I am almost at The Guardian, Shrek is helping me get the 2nd stone to activate him now. I must be doing a lot of side crap here as I am level 12 and haven't even fought The Guardian yet.

The serpent Tomb is back in Tri-stone next to the original spot the chick and her brother that made the key for you were. I think i was level 11 when i beat the guardian.

as for levels ,this also depends on how many times you fail, and yeah side missions.. I've finished gorewood, but the second one..ugh!
